Our aim is to make wheelchair information easier to understand without pretending that one chair, measurement or technique suits everyone.
Model information and historical specifications
The product library was originally created for a mobility retailer. Retained specifications and photographs are labelled as historical reference information. We remove obsolete selling prices, stock claims and retail promises. We do not treat an old product description as a current manufacturer specification.
Where the retained material conflicts, we say so or omit the disputed detail. We do not fill gaps by inventing a measurement, compatibility claim or test result.
Practical guides
Guides are written to answer a specific reader question and link to relevant primary sources. Depending on the subject, those sources may include NHS information, manufacturer manuals, government guidance or the transport operator responsible for a service. Readers should check the linked source for the latest arrangements.
Reviews and comparisons
Model comparisons explain documented design differences and questions worth considering. They are desk-based information guides unless a page expressly describes a first-hand test. We do not invent hands-on experience, customer reviews, star ratings or endorsements. There is no universal “best wheelchair”: the right choice depends on the person, environment and professional assessment.
Safety and individual needs
General information cannot determine clinical suitability, pressure-care needs or a safe transfer method for an individual. Follow your own chair’s instructions, and seek advice from an appropriate wheelchair or healthcare professional for these decisions. We do not provide diagnoses or personalised medical advice.
Images
The library reuses the original photographs associated with its historical model records. Some older records share a family photograph rather than an exact colour or seat-size image; where this is known, the page explains it. A photograph alone should not be used to order a replacement part.
Advertising and independence
The site may display advertising to help support its operation. Advertising is separate from editorial information. An advert does not mean that this website endorses the advertiser or has verified the suitability of a product. No payment changes the historical specifications retained in the model library.
Corrections
If you find an error, email contact@excelwheelchairs.com with the page address, the detail you believe is wrong and, where possible, an authoritative source. Please avoid sending personal medical information. We review corrections before changing technical details.
